Replacing Battery
Required Battery: CR2032 (3V)
-
Open: Locate the small notch on the bottom seam of the remote. Insert a coin or flathead screwdriver and twist gently to separate the case.
-
Remove: Carefully slide the old battery out.
-
Install: Insert the new CR2032 battery with the Positive (+) side facing UP.
-
Close: Snap the front and back of the case back together tightly.
Troubleshooting
Remote Start Fails: If the lock/unlock buttons work but the Remote Start button does not, check your dashboard. Any active warning lights (Check Engine, Tire Pressure, etc.) will disable the remote start system.
No Chime: If no chime is heard during remote programming, release the buttons and try holding them down again.
Programming Fails: Ensure no Check Engine or Tire Pressure lights are on; these can prevent the car from entering programming mode.
Order: If any remote did not program, restart from Step 1 and switch the order in which you are programming them.
2011+ Models: If your vehicle is 2011 or newer, these manual procedures will not work. Please contact a Locksmith or Dealer.
